Hi, I’m Karen Rosen

Over the past two decades, I have worked with many individuals, couples, and families facing a range of issues, including anxiety, panic, depressed mood, grief, loss, and trauma. I have expertise in helping couples with premarital therapy, fertility issues, lifecycle transitions, infidelity, and learning to disrupt hurtful and limiting patterns of interaction.

My clinical services

Where Practical Experience
& Academic Training Meets Care

  • I work with teens, young adults, and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, and major life transitions. We'll work together to understand how your relationships and experiences have shaped you, helping you make decisions that align with your values and move through life with greater insight and perspective.

  • I work with couples at every stage of their relationship, from pre-marital counseling to navigating infidelity, trauma, infertility, chronic illness, and retirement. We'll explore how your individual histories show up in your relationship and develop healthier ways of connecting and communicating.

  • This short-term process (4-8 sessions) helps couples planning to deepen their commitment learn how to have deeper conversations about creating their lives together. I'll help you tackle sensitive topics like sex, money, and family, and strategize around pre-wedding family dynamics that often arise during this major life transition. It can be incredibly helpful for couples to have a therapist who knows them and can help them at different stages of their relationship.

  • Using specialized training in family systems theory, I help families break free from painful patterns and create healthier ways of connecting. Whether you're adjusting to young children, navigating adult relationships, supporting teens, or managing divorce, I'll help you understand your family dynamics and develop new ways of relating.

  • Parenting can be a joy and a challenge all in one! At times, it can feel isolating and overwhelming. I help parents understand their own childhood experiences, clarify their values, and use child development knowledge to make confident decisions about adjusting to parenthood, communicating with children, supporting emotional growth, and parenting children with special needs.

  • I offer individual, couple, and family sessions to address the often unspoken pain of infertility, miscarriage, and postpartum adjustment. I'm passionate about helping women get the support they need while guiding partners and families in creating an environment that nurtures the women they care about.

  • I help couples who are ready to end their relationships do so in the most kind and respectful way possible. I provide guidance for difficult conversations, support around children's developmental and social-emotional needs, and help organize additional resources you may need during this transition.
